Staying With the Signal

This week, I stopped pushing myself through things that drained me. Not everything. Just enough to notice the difference. I turned some things down that I may have had planned. Stayed quiet when I needed quiet. Let certain conversations end earlier instead of stretching myself thin trying to maintain them. Small choices make a huge difference. Suddenly, my body noticed. The tightness softened when I stopped forcing openness. The heaviness eased when I stopped carrying energy that wasn’t mine to hold. I’m learning that the signal means nothing
if I keep ignoring it or going against it. So the practice now is response. Not just hearing myself, but honoring what I hear. A small practice: when the body pulls back, pause before moving forward anyway. Let the signal change the way you move. Even slightly. Take 5-10 minutes to breath while sitting in stillness.

Prompt: Where are you overriding what you feel?

Practice: Pause and honor the first honest response.
